Stop for a moment and imagine: how would your church's spiritual atmosphere be different if every person set a personal growth goal, and took one action step forward each week? What effect would it have on our small group system if every participant met monthly with a peer coach from their group? Join us this winter as The Zone begins Christian Life Coach Training. Learn the tools and core competencies that make coaching so powerful. Work with others to practice the skills to become an effective coach. Discover the priviledge it is to come alongside someone as you help them discover all that God intended for them. Help others as you facilitate change and spiritual growth. The nine-month process begins with a guided orientation with your own mentor coach. Your coach will assign reading, help clarify concepts and prepare you for your first training workshop. Next, you will attend a 1 1/2 day skill based workshop to put your skills into practice in a safe and encouraging setting. Coach Trainees will work in triads to hone their skills and learn new techniques. You will be learning through participation and observation. Immediately following this workshop you will begin your field work where you will coach two people for six sessions each. During this time you will work with your coach mentor for six sessions as you grow in your coaching capacity. You can expect to dedicate 4 hours each month to coaching. Finally you will return for a 1 1/2 day Certification workshop. You will be assessed in your skills and you will receive feedback based on your field work. Your certification is earned when all your requirements and evaluations are completed.
